Technical Seminar at HKIE: BPS Global Envisions the Growing Opportunities on Automated Operations

BPS Global successfully held a technical seminar co-organized by CAD, LTD an AMC on 14 Nov 2016 at HKIE, with a feature topic of “Application of Automation in Hong Kong’s Air Cargo Terminals”. Mr. Lit Fung, General Manager – IT & Automation of BPS Global, was invited to be the seminar speaker, giving the audience an insightful vision on the growing relationship between terminal productivity and automation implementations.

The seminar highlighted three important compositions in automation which are automatic dimensioning & weighing system, load plan and ULD contour checker. They all play a critical role in optimizing the speed, preciseness and efficiency in the overall operational productivity. With his years of experience in implementation of automation system and system integration, Mr. Fung explained in details how automation contributes to the continual productivity and quality improvement in Hong Kong Air Cargo terminals with specific success case sharing. Throngs of industry professionals were impressed and raised further dynamic discussion on a few heated automation-related topics with the speaker after the seminar.
