In order to help Pok Oi Hospital raise fund for the Emergency Relief Fund, BPS Global Group led the staff group to join the Pok Oi Hospital Charity Walk 2015. The fund raised in the charity walk will all be used to provide relief for needy in special and emergency situations by offering financial or material assistance.
The route for the charity walk this year passes through various historical buildings such as Yuen Long Tin Hau Temple, I Shing Temple and Yuen Kwan Yi Tai Temple. After visiting these temples, participants reached the Lee Cheung Ancestral Hall to join the closing ceremony and at last enjoyed the delicious Poon Choi Feast at To’s Farm. Not only could the participants enjoy the beautiful scenery of the nature, but they could also have a taste of the Poon Choi and the culture of walled villages.
Our colleagues all found the Charity Walk meaningful, for enabling them to help the underprivileged and at the same time give them a chance to exercise and get to know more about the historical buildings. Therefore, many were eager to join the walk. The day finally came with good weather and everyone was well-prepared and energetic when they appeared in Yuen Long to join the opening ceremony. 24 of our staff started the journey with the host’s announcement. Everyone was amazed by the scenery they saw, which can seldom be seen in the “concrete jungle” they live. In order to show their gratitude to BPS’ support, Pok Oi Hospital presented the Bronze Sponsor Certificate to BPS Global Group during the closing ceremony. Lastly, everyone sat down to enjoy the delicious Poon Choi Feast, giving a perfect ending for the walk.
