Project Background
Changsha Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd, formerly known as Changsha Construction Machinery Research Institute, is a listed hi-tech company and one of the 103 highlighted innovative corporations in China. It mainly involved in the heavy-machine manufacture for Government engineering projects, covering scopes in construction, traffic and resources engineering. Its production areas range from ChangSha, ChangDe, Yiyang cities in Hunan Province, Shanghai, Shaanxi Province as well as Milan in Italy, which now form 11 production hubs, with Zoomlion Hanshou Industrial Park as the production platform for hoisting cranes and construction equipment. The Industrial Park occupies an area of 1080 acreages, with the 1st stage of production taking up around 600 acreages. In addition, production centers would be built inside the industrial park, covering tens of thousands square meter area, mainly used for the manufacture of special vehicles. BPS is employed as the logistics consultant, and to conduct the logistics design and planning within the Hanshou Industrial Park.
Project Summary
As the logistics consultant, BPS has sent the professional team to Hanshou in carrying out the detailed research, establishing the overall operations mode, and performing the future forecast for the handling amount. Combining the current environment and findings, BPS has designed the solutions for the container yard planning, warehousing logistics planning, overall traffic organization, and provide suggestions on logistics equipment, artificial control and logistics information system.
Investment Term
With the functions upgrade in the industrial traffic system, there is urgent need to redesign the network system, widen the road surface and increase the traffic facilities for the part of “hardware” implementation; on the other hand, there is also demand to incorporate the modern technology into the traffic management to uplift the current capabilities, while improves the overall road traffic management efficiency and the facilities utilization at the same time, to reflect the scientific and efficiency side of the traffic management.
Under the planning of BPS, detailed and effective designs has been completed on these two aspects, which maximums the operations capabilities and ensures the smoothness and high-efficiency of logistics tasks, and formulates a suitable working environment.
Project Background
Zoomlion Lugu Industrial Park, a mega steel-structure with a construction area of 85 thousand square meters, mainly engage in the manufacture of heavy machinery like concrete machinery, road machinery and truck crane chassis. This project has involved the re-location of facilities like production, warehouse and logistics, delivery, turnover district and office area.
Project Summary
As the logistics consultant, BPS has to re-design the logistics system to attain the objective of rational design layout, operations smoothness, beautiful and humane environment, and high-efficient production / logistics systems. It contains 3 stages:
Stage 1 Interior Network Planning
Through the data analysis on the current road network, BPS has utilized the techniques in computer simulations and critical path method in finding the best traffic path and traffic flow solutions.
Stage 2 Interior Logistics Distribution Optimization:
Give Optimization method on distribution mode, frequency and optimized path for different logistics products, and suggest the use of different logistics equipment and facilities to increase the operations efficiency.
Stage 3 Implementation of guidance and training:
Provide technical support and on-site counseling for the logistics program, and give logistics management training to the management.
