Development Strategy and Operation Planning for GREE


Project Background

GREE committed to the development of container port, logistics property agency, high-end third-party logistics (including bonded warehouse, VMI, cross-boundary logistics and Petrochemical dangerous goods handling), fossil energy and other logistics related area. The current goal of the company is to develop a comprehensive supply chain and distribution network for container port. In order to reduce operation risk, choose a right business direction and optimize operation flow, GREE invited HKLTS making use their experience in logistics field and networking to bring out strategic and operation plan and to provide a guide line to GREE for future development.

Project Summary

HKLTS made use of different tools and techniques to investigate businesses of GREE, especially for logistics sector. The project team analyzed the existing logistics equipment and software so as to figure out the competitive advantages and disadvantages among GREE’s competitors. The team then evaluated the external environment to find out the market condition for determining which market will be penetrated and respective strategic plan.

  • After concluding different strategic plan for GREE, the overall plan is developed and segregated into below three stages:
    • Stage 1
      By taking GREE’s capital advantage, the project team coordinates the existing logistics resources and VMI, container port, petrochemical resource, distribution network in Macau were developed.
    • Stage 2
      To take the advantage of GREE’s brand name and great potential in Zhuhai market, the integrated supply chain was established. With the rapid development in the business, GREE become the top 3 in logistics industry and prepare to be listed in stock market.
    • Stage 3
      By using the customer relationship in Zhuhai market, core competitive advantages and accumulated capital, GREE can develop the business in Pearl River Delta and the national market and target to become the top 20 companies in China.

  • HKLTS conducted a detailed and in-depth study to find out the competitive advantage, treat and limitation of GREE. In accordance with the development plan, GREE can develop a comprehensive distribution network for container port and to become the most important logistics service provider within the region. GREE then develops logistic business in Macau and modifies the existing information management system so as to publicize the brand throughout the country.
